Deontay Wilder Stops Sergei Liakhovich In Round 1 With A Golden Right Hand

Tonight the Bronze Bomber passed his biggest test to date in flying colors. He stopped former WBO Heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich in Round 1 with a huge right hand to the head. The contest was immediately waved off as Liakhovich laid convulsing on the canvas. It still remains to be seen whether or not The Bronze Bomber has what it takes to finally capture the gold, but one thing is for sure, after tonight… many more people will be watching.

On the under-card Jermall Charlo stopped Antwone Smith in the 2nd round, and Francisco Vargas won a 10 round unanimous decision against previously undefeated Brandon Bennett.

I had Deontay WIlder picked to win vis 1st round knockout tonight. Be sure to keep an eye out for more posts as I will be posting my picks for notable future fights.

    • Yeah he has big time power and a decent skill set. Not to mention he is 6’7. I would favor him against anybody not named Haye or Wladamir.
